Your cost in case of personal injury
You are (rightly) wondering how much it will cost you to recover your damages.
Fortunately, this is well organized in the Netherlands. The reasonable costs of legal assistance will be reimbursed by the liable insurer. If the insurer admits liability, we will not charge our costs to you, but to the other party. If we accept your case, we will help you free of charge.

If liability is not recognized and costs still have to be incurred, we will always discuss this with you first before charging you for this.
The reason behind this is that the costs you incur for (extrajudicial) legal assistance are part of your damage. You have had an accident and as a result you have had to make expenses. If you had not had an accident, you would (logically) not have had these expenses. In short, you did not ask for the accident, and certainly not for the expenses associated with it.
Your costs for (extrajudicial) legal assistance will therefore be reimbursed by the liable insurer. You will also receive confirmation from us for this.
But what if the other party does not cooperate and your legal assistance costs are not or not fully reimbursed?
Certa Personal Injury Lawyers will do everything in its power to obtain full compensation for your damages. If the other party does not or does not fully agree to the costs incurred by you for legal assistance, you will not be charged for these costs.
And what if liability has not yet been recognized by the other party's insurer?
During our intake interview we will assess, without obligation, whether we see an opportunity to hold the other party liable in your case. If we see an opportunity to successfully recover your damages for you, we will do our utmost to do so. We will not charge you any costs for this. If liability is subsequently rejected, we will still not charge you any costs. â–
